FAQ’S
REACH OUT if you have any further questions about our services
-
We support learners from early elementary through middle school, with services tailored to each child’s developmental and academic needs. If your child is in high school and requiring support with foundational literacy skills, please contact us for further information.

We choose to work with children in a dedicated office space because research consistently shows that routine, consistency, and calm, predictable environments support learning, attention, and emotional regulation—especially for children who may already find learning challenging.
A consistent learning location helps children know what to expect and allows their brains to more easily shift into “learning mode.” Predictable routines and environments have been shown to reduce anxiety, support self-regulation, and improve focus, all of which are essential for meaningful progress in literacy skills like reading, writing, and oral language.
Research on learning environments also highlights the importance of minimizing distractions. While home settings are full of comfort and care, they can also include interruptions, background noise, and competing demands on attention. A purposefully designed learning space allows us to create a calm, organized setting where your child can fully focus on learning without external distractions.

We use evidence-based Structured Literacy methods grounded in the Science of Reading, focusing on explicit, systematic instruction. Each lesson is individualized and responsive, focusing on progressing skills and closing learning gaps. All reading specialists are currently completing an Orton-Gillingham foundations training course.

Every interevention plan is individualized based on reading assessment results, ongoing progress monitoring, individualized goals and objectives, and the student’s pace of progress. Every lesson plan is highly responsive. While each lesson is carefully planned, we continuously observe how your child is responding in real time. Errors, misunderstandings, or gaps are valuable information that guides what happens next. Lessons are adjusted across sessions to ensure instruction targets exactly what your child needs most.
This balance of structured, expert-led teaching and responsive, individualized instruction allows us to provide support that is both systematic and flexible, ensuring that learning is effective, meaningful, and built on a strong foundation.
-
